How does Vibebo respond to law enforcement requests

2 min read

Vibebo reviews valid legal requests from authorised public authorities. The company assesses each request against applicable law, the scope of the request and the information available in its systems.

What an official request should include

The requesting authority and the name, role and official contact details of the officer

The legal basis for the request

The Vibebo account, link, message or other identifier involved

A clear and proportionate description of the information requested

The relevant date range

Any lawful preservation instruction and its duration

The required response date and reason for urgency

What Vibebo may do

Vibebo may verify the authority, request clarification, narrow an overbroad request, preserve information where legally required or disclose information when a binding legal process requires it. Vibebo may reject informal, incomplete or unlawful requests.

Vibebo does not guarantee that a message can be linked to a named person. Anonymous messages may involve limited technical information, shared devices, shared networks or information that has already been deleted under retention rules.

Emergency requests

Where there is a credible and immediate threat to life or serious physical harm, an authorised authority should use the emergency legal contact route published by Vibebo. The request should explain the danger, the affected person and why ordinary legal process cannot wait.

Users facing immediate danger should contact local emergency services. An in app report helps Vibebo review content, but it does not replace urgent public safety support.

User notice and confidentiality

Vibebo may notify an affected user unless the law prohibits notice, notice would create a serious safety risk or the circumstances make notice inappropriate. Confidentiality requests should cite the legal authority and intended period.

Preservation and retention

A preservation request does not create information that Vibebo does not hold. Authorities should send requests promptly and use precise identifiers. Data is retained according to applicable law, operational need and published retention practices.
