How to Add a Member to a Vibebo Channel

Modified on: Thu, 23 Apr, 2026 at 12:00 PM

Adding a member gives another person access to the shared channel space. Do it when they need to help manage the group’s messages, not simply because they are part of the wider community.

Steps

  • Open the channel and go to its member controls.
  • Select the option to add a member and choose the person you want to bring into the channel.
  • Confirm the addition and tell them what they are expected to manage. Keep membership small enough that ownership is still clear.

Keep membership purposeful

Check the member list after each change. A smaller, relevant list makes it clearer who is responsible for the channel and the messages inside it.

Examples and guidance

Use it for a real reason

Membership should reflect who needs to handle the channel today. Add a new event organiser, a moderator taking a shift or a colleague who now owns the next stage of a project. There is no need to add everyone who happens to be part of the wider group.

Good practice

Tell the new member what the channel is for, what they are expected to do and who else has access. Review membership after a project ends or roles change. This small bit of housekeeping protects the shared space and makes it easier for senders to trust how their message will be handled.

One last check

Give each new member a quick handover on privacy, tone and response times. Access alone does not explain responsibility. It is fine to pause the link when the conversation is complete, then use a fresh prompt for the next one.
